Watch: NYC flooding turns subway stairs into a waterfall

It was a soggy start to the week inside New York City's subway system.
Twitter user Josh Guild captured video showing a subway stairwell transformed into a waterfall during flash flooding in New York City on April 16, 2018.

New York City transit users faced soggy conditions in parts of the subway system during Monday morning's commute.

As a heavy storm moved through the area, one subway entrance looked like a waterfall as rain from the street level poured down the steps.

Josh Guild shared video from the scene Monday morning at 145th Street and Broadway.

It got quite the reaction on social media and Dictionary.com even tweeted about the flooding.

Meanwhile, in other parts of the subway system travelers had to dodge downpours of water as they got on and off their trains.

Accuweather reported that Central Park received more than 3 inches of rain by noon.
