Did you hear it?
Several residents in Grays Harbor County reported hearing a loud boom along with a flash of light in the sky Wednesday night, says Grays Harbor County Emergency Management.
Officials say people along the coast and as far inland as Montesano heard the boom, and some people said their home even shook.
"I live in Copalis Beach and heard a BOOM and what felt like an earthquake roll through. Also, heard the sound rolling like thunder," said Tracy Tuzzolino.
Derek Hnilica, who lives in Grays Harbor County, captured the flash of light on surveillance camera.
"I thought it was a truck driving by on the road by my house," said Hnilica. "My wife got on Facebook and she came in and asked me if I seen the light or heard anything. I went to my security camera and seen the big flash of light on the security camera."
Grays Harbor says the National Weather Service says there was no severe weather and the FAA said it had no issues. There was no earthquake or reports of explosions or crashes.
The boom even registered up on the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network seismometers. One seismogram is at the tip of Ocean Shores, while the other is the south side of Grays Harbor. Both show a sudden red line spike sometime in the 7:00 p.m. hour.
