A state trooper was treated and released from the hospital after he was hit on I-90 in Bellevue Tuesday night.

The collision happened in the eastbound lanes of I-90 near 150th Street SE.

The trooper was helping another driver in a disabled car when he was hit by a 24-year-woman from Snoqualmie.

Investigators say the trooper's car was hit so hard, it crushed the rear of his patrol car, hit the disabled car, and he was thrown several feet.

The trooper was treated for non-life threatening injuries at a hospital and released.

The driver says she saw the emergency lights but didn't realize it was stopped and looked down at her dash.

Several lanes of eastbound I-90 were shut down for the investigation.
