Seattle's Magnolia Bridge may not be replaced in the future.

According to a Facebook post by the Magnolia Voice, the Seattle Department of Transportation plans to tear down the aging structure but not replace it due to cost.

The plan instead is to install a new traffic light at W. Dravus Street to help keep traffic moving in and out of the neighborhood.

It's not the end of the discussion for this topic though.

A public meeting sponsored by the Magnolia Community Council is planned on Monday, May 21 at Pilgrim Hall at the Magnolia United Church starting at 6:30 p.m. Representatives with SDOT, Sound Transit 3, Metro and the Port of Seattle plan to share their current plans and answer questions and listen to concerns.
