Seattle police say one person has died and another injured after a shooting on Rainier Avenue S in South Seattle.

Police say a call came in around Wednesday evening of a shooting in the parking lot of Borracchini's Bakery at Rainier Avenue S and S College St. When officers arrived, they found a woman with gunshot wounds in a car; she died at the scene.

A second victim, an adult male, was found inside the bakery with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

An employee at the bakery said the two victims were customers.

"My friends, my coworkers say she had just gotten the cake and was going to get back into the car when she got shot," said Paige Jernigan, who works at the bakery.

Police believe the vehicle was targeted, but not necessarily the people inside the car nor the bakery.

Police say at the same time a second shooting happened at Rainier Avenue S and S Genesee Street. Seattle police tweeted no victims were found in the second shooting.

Police say at this point they are working on the assumption the two shootings are not related.

Investigators are searching for any suspect or suspects. They're collecting evidence from the scenes, including surveillance video.
