Police are searching for a suspect that shot a man in the back at Golden Gardens Park late Tuesday night.
Witnesses reported hearing gun shots around 11:50 p.m.
When police arrived, the man approached them and said he had been shot in the back. Officers were able to provide first aid to the grazed wound until medics arrived and transported him to Harborview Medical Center.
When officers searched the park, they found 21 rifle rounds and six .380 rounds, according to Detective Patrick Michaud.
Detectives are speaking with witnesses to piece together the events that led up to the shooting. Witnesses say there was a fight in the park before one man pulled out a rifle and began firing. They say a second man then pulled out a handgun and returned fire.
SPD's Gang Units are investigating the shooting and ask anyone with information to call 206-233-5000.
