Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting near downtown Oak Harbor on Tuesday morning.
The Washington State Patrol who is assisting in the investigation said the shooting happened around 9 a.m. on SE Bayshore Drive.
Oak Harbor Police responded to a 911 call reporting that a woman was forcibly held down by a man. When officers arrived, gunshots were fired, and the man was struck in the arm. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with non-life threatening injuries.
No officers were injured in the shooting. Investigators do not yet know the relationship between the man and woman.
