Lacey is going to feel like Hogwarts this weekend.

Lacey’s Regional Athletic Complex is hosting the Northwest Quidditch Championship on Saturday and Sunday.

Three teams will be playing a version of the game made famous by the Harry Potter book series.

Participants said they play the same game, without all the flying. Wizards in the Harry Potter series play the game flying on brooms.

The real world version requires players to hold a broom, or at least a PVC pipe, between their legs during the games.

The event is free to attend, and players will teach children and other muggles how to play during the weekend event.

Opening ceremonies begin Saturday at 9:30 a.m., and play begins at 10 a.m.
