On October 22nd, members of KING 5 and the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition are partnering for Make a Difference Day 2016 to reduce air pollution in the community. Volunteers will install plants onto a green wall in Georgetown that will filter air passing through it to absorb air pollution, as well as beautify the industrial space.
This is just one of the many projects happening on Make a Difference Day this year, and there’s one for everyone to get involved in. There are opportunities all over Washington to join together on this day to help tackle community issues such as homelessness, pollution, and public health issues. Or, if you and a group of friends or coworkers are passionate about a certain issue in your community, start your own project!
