The students face felony charges in three unrelated cases.
Three Pierce County students, one 12 years old, were charged with threatening schools.

Three students in Pierce County are in detention charged with making threats against their respective schools. The cases are not related.

The suspects are 17, 15 and 12.

Prosecutors say the 17-year-old suspect made threats against Lake Spanaway High School on the school bus. He allegedly said, "You might not want to come to school on Monday, because I'm going to shoot up the school."

The 15-year-old suspect allegedly made several threats against students at Lincoln High School, including posts on Snapchat showing the suspect with a gun. Another post had text allegedly saying "If I am a school shooter, I'll go after the people I hate and then go rampaging."

The last suspect, 12, is charged with making threats against Truman Middle School. Students reported he posted a picutre of a semi-automatic gun on Instagram.

All three juveniles are charged with felony harassment.

"Any threat to the safety of our children must be taken seriously," said Prosecutor Mark Linkdquist in a news release, "This is especially true in the current environment because shootings sometimes occur in clusters."
