12-year-old arrested for Tacoma shooting threats had weapon

Two students, ages 12 and 15, were located and arrested by Tacoma police.

Tacoma Police arrested two male students for making online shooting threats to their schools.

On Friday, police received information that a 12-year-old student was using social media to make threats against Truman Middle School. Police located the child and found probable cause to arrest him for Intimidation and Threats. They recovered a weapon as evidence.

On Saturday, police pursued numerous tips that a 15-year-old student was making threats against Lincoln High School. The boy was located on Sunday and interviewed. Police arrested the student for Intimidation and Threats.

The Tacoma Police Department says: "No threat is too small, if you believe a threat has been made against a school or student in school, please call 911 to report it."
