10 Washington men arrested in 'Net Nanny' sting

Washington's "Net Nanny" sting targeting child sex predators began in 2015 and has resulted in a total of 170 arrests.

A sting to catch child sex predators resulted in 10 arrests in Jefferson County, Washington.

During the four day operation, undercover officers communicated online with individuals who expressed sexual interest in children. The operation produced hundreds of responses through various websites. Law enforcement arrested 10 men who traveled to meet undercover detectives, with the intent of preying on underage girls and boys.

Operation "Net Nanny" was started by the Washington State Patrol in August 2015. Since then, there have been 170 arrests, with 24 minors identified as victims.

WSP Chief John Batiste says, "Sexual predators are using the internet to target our most vulnerable members of our community. This operation not only protects our children from dangerous criminals but also making our communities safer by taking these predators off the streets."
