A Habitat for Humanity home meant for a veteran family was burglarized on Christmas Eve.

The thieves got away with a new washer and dryer from a home that was recently completed for a single mother and former medical specialist with the U.S. Army and her two children.

The home was built by Habitat for Humanity as part of a project to provide housing to nine different veteran families.

The family was scheduled to move in by the end of January.

The Pacific Police Department is investigating the incident.
