With your help, there'll be a lot less room in Northwest Harvest's storage warehouse after tomorrow's 17th Annual Home Team Harvest food drive.

We're looking for non-perishable, shelf-stable products. Think canned and packaged foods. Bonus points for baby food. Cash goes a long way, too. In fact, KING 5 and Northwest Harvest are hoping to collect enough food and money for 5 million meals.

Operations Manager Chris Davidson told us workers and volunteers at their 94,000 square-foot facility accept, sort and redistribute 35-million pounds of food every year.

"What we do here is distribute foods throughout the entire state to well over 350 partner programs."

Help us make Sat, Dec 2 their busiest day of the year, so thousands of local families will have food on their tables this holiday season.

Join us tomorrow at any one of our six collection sites until noon. You'll find KING 5 talent waiting to accept your donations at Northgate Mall, Redmond Town Center, Tacoma Mall, Safeway in Bothell, Safeway at Lynnwood-James Village, and Safeway in Renton Highlands.
