They met and fell in love in front of a national television audience on ABC's The Bachelorette. So what's the next chapter for newlyweds Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried?

"I always tell everyone that regardless of whether we met on the show, or just out in the street, we would be together," said Hartsock, who starred on ABC's The Bachelorette in 2013.

"Right now the focus is on the baby," explained Hartsock, whose first baby is due any day now.

After the publicity whirlwind following their season on the show and the wedding that followed, Desiree and Chris have settled in here in Seattle.

"I didn't go on the show for the spotlight or for fame," said Hartsock. "It was really just like an adventure, an experience, and I ended up meeting my husband."

Seattle seemed like the perfect place to start a family.

"I like the Northwest," Siegfried said. "I'm from Portland originally and I think Seattle's better. Way better."

Siegfried is a former professional baseball player. He currently works in mortgage banking. Hartsock is a wedding dress designer, a perfect fit for one of America's most-watched romantics.

"It's been great because obviously it's opened opportunities and doors," she said.

Hartsock writes a bridal blog, she's authored a book about planning weddings on a budget, and has some big plans of her own.

"Have a storefront," she said. "And be able to help Seattle brides find the dress of their dreams."

But, for now, this celebrity couple happily shuns the spotlight as they prepare to introduce baby to the world.

"The kid will have an adventurous lifestyle," said Siegfried.

It's happily ever after for this one-time bachelorette and her perfect match.

Hartsock added, "He'll still be making me laugh 50 years from now."
