Kim Holcomb is an award-winning host and entertainment reporter for KING 5's Evening.

Her career started when she made a road trip up the West Coast in search of her first job. She visited every small market along the way and was hired at her last stop in Yakima, WA. After learning how to pronounce "Yakima," she shot, wrote, and edited her own stories for minimum wage. And loved every moment.

Kim eventually moved on to reporting and anchoring jobs in Boise, ID, Las Vegas, NV, and Phoenix, AZ. She’s worked at KING 5 since 2006.

During her time with Evening, she's told the stories of remarkable Northwesterners and gone on adventures around the world. Her assignments have included swimming with a crocodile in Australia, dune bashing in Dubai, flying on a trapeze in SODO, jumping out of an airplane over Snohomish, running the Warrior Dash in North Bend, and getting pelted in Seattle's Tomato Battle (thankfully, not all on the same day.)

Kim is also a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association. She's traveled to Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, London, Berlin and Moscow to cover films and interview some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

During her career, Kim's won six regional Emmys and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for writing. She has a degree in political science from the University of California, Riverside, and a master's degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University.

She couldn't live without music, movies, good conversation, vacations to the coast, occasional karaoke and strong coffee. She's married and is the proud mom of a son and daughter.
