What's the main reason for the seasons on earth?
The reason is the tilt of the earth's axis. When the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun, the solar radiation is more direct and intense, and "we" experience our warmest temperatures-summer. When the northern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun, the solar radiation is less direct and intense, and our part of the globe experiences our coolest temperatures-winter.
