Thieves take off with Christmas gifts and family dog
07:34 AM PST on Wednesday, December 3, 2008
BURLINGTON, Wash. – An Oak Harbor family's beloved dog and their Christmas presents were stolen from their vehicle last week from the parking lot of a Fred Meyer store in Burlington.
The 2-year-old Chihuahua called Killer is 3-year-old Jesse Spitzer's best friend.
Tabetha Spitzer, Jesse's mother, says all Jesse wants for Christmas is to have his friend back.
"He's with the bad man," said Jesse.

Tabetha said this is Jesse's first Christmas in two years that his father, who is a Navy sailor, won't be deployed overseas. But the loss of his dog has overshadowed that joyful time.
Killer was taken between 7:30 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. Friday from the family's Chevrolet Suburban. He weighs 6 pounds, is tan with black markings, has been neutered.
The family says the dog is chipped and they would love for the thieves to turn the dog in to a local shelter, no questions asked.
