Meet Taco the crime fighter

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. - His name is Taco, and his owner says he's a crime fighting hero.

That's because last week the chihuahua did what several Airway Heights Police Officers and Spokane County Sheriff's deputies couldn't do - track down a wanted felon hiding in an Airway Heights trailer park.

Officers arrived in the Farichild AFB trailer park on an unrelated, domestic dispute call, when they noticed 23-year-old Daniel Keller, a felon wanted for escaping community custody.

Keller fled and disappeared in the park.

A few minutes later, Jene Jones brought out Taco to help track Keller down.

The dog picked up an unfamiliar scent from a nearby trailer and started barking. Keller ran from the trailer, but deputies caught him and arrested him a short time later.
