Video: Salmon shark washes ashore on Oregon beach

SEASIDE, Ore. -- Walkers along the Seaside coastline got a surprise view of a salmon shark over the weekend, after it washed up onto the beach.

The salmon shark was dead and washed up at Arcadia State Park.

A spokesperson for the Seaside Aquarium said this was the third salmon shark to wash ashore in the last couple months.

She said ten washed ashore by this time last year.

The aquarium freezes the dead sharks and then donates them to schools for study.
