A strong storm will move in this morning. This will spread increasing rain and wind into western Washington this morning. It will dump large amounts of rain in the mountains and soak down much of the lowlands Wednesday into Thursday. It will also be accompanied by strong gusty winds, generally from the south, 15-30 mph with gusts 35-45 mph. With the new growth on the trees, we could see spotty power outages. This front should drop south of us on Thursday afternoon for diminishing wind and rain. Friday will see a break with off and on showers and breezy winds. Snow levels could drop to 4,000 feet early on Friday but should rise back to 5,000 feet in the afternoon with some snow on the higher passes. However, another round of wet and blustery weather will move in over the weekend. The weather should quiet down and dry out to start next week.
