WEST SEATTLE -- Photojournalist Tom Bishop takes us inside The Intergenerational Learning Center, an award winning child-care program offering children the chance to connect with older generations. Beginning with children as young as six weeks old, the center focuses on providing a truly shared space between older residents and children by placing the actual day care within an elder care facility, allowing both the older and younger generations to interact and benefit from one another.

About half of the kids enrolled are children of employees at Providence Mount St. Vincent, and the rest come from the community. To find about more about this amazing program, visit their website.
